Duke Tech Week 2025

Duke Tech Week is designed to help students learn about the technology services and resources available to them throughout their time at Duke. Join us for the kick off at the Bryan Center Landing.
Open to all majors-no tech background needed! Come for the demos, stay for the conversation, and maybe even win a prize.
This year, the focus is on AI, innovation, and the importance of cybersecurity.
Highlights of the week include:
• Chris Vitiello, aka The Poetry Fox, Durham's Poet Laureate, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, writing poems on demand in a unique human v. AI experiment.
• A representative from OpenAI will offer virtual sessions on Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. And 1 p.m. for undergraduate and graduate students on how to use ChatGPT, sharing practical tips and career insights.
• The Cyber Bowl is a month-long competition, Oct. 1-31, where eight North Carolina universities battle for the title of most cyber savvy.
Between interactive demos, giveaways and snacks, students will find guidance on keeping their devices safe and data secure; how to get support for laptops, ID cards, and Duke software; opportunities to sharpen their technology skills at the Innovation Co-Lab; and information on co-curricular programs such as Code+; and on purchasing tech essentials at the Duke Technology Center.
