Middle School STEM Challenge

Get inspired by the next generation of innovators!
We invite you to experience the creativity, passion, and brilliance of our students at the Innovation for Humanity Expo Challenge, a one-of-a-kind event hosted by Durham Public Schools and designed by student innovators themselves.
Join us on Saturday, May 23, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Duke Pratt School of Engineering for a powerful showcase of middle school talent in action. Students from Rogers-Herr, Githens, Brogden, and Neal middle schools will present original ideas and solutions tackling real-world challenges, demonstrating the impact of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking in education.
This year's Expo will also highlight the incredible leadership behind the work. At Rogers-Herr, the Ram Innovators are guided by Tabetha Evans, who was recently named her school's Beginning Teacher of the Year and is a finalist for the district Beginning Teacher of the Year.
Come see what's possible when students are empowered to lead, create, and solve. You won't want to miss it.
The event is free and open to the community.
