Description

As part of a Duke University and Intel Corporation Fellowship, Lily Bermudez conducted an independent study which culminated in her Master's Capstone project researching how the European Union and United States can better collaborate on quantum technologies while addressing technological dependencies. Through expert interviews, policy analysis, and industry research, the study identifies critical challenges and proposes a Quantum Technology Innovation & Collaboration Framework (QTICF) to address them. The ultimate finding of the study is that closer US-EU collaboration through a shared, standardized framework could accelerate innovation, enhance competitiveness, reduce technological dependencies, and aid in strategic leadership in quantum technologies for both regions.
